(1888PressRelease) As bed bugs continue to explode across North America, a great deal of information and misinformation is being found across the Internet and even on mainstream media. ThermaPure, Inc., (www.thermapure.com) the pioneer in the use of heat to kill bed bugs and their eggs, has issued some updated information for consumers to help differentiate fact from fiction.

VENTURA, CA — New reports of bed bug infestations at upscale retailers, public transportation, 5-star hotels and multi and single-family housing are quickly demonstrating why the blood-sucking creatures are quickly becoming the #1 pest in North America.

A study released this week by the National Pest Management Association found that pest control operators consider bed bugs the most difficult pest to eradicate, even more than cockroaches and ants.

ThermaPure, Inc., (www.thermapure.com)the industry pioneer in the use of heat to kill bed bugs and their eggs, has released updated information to help consumers tell the difference between fact and fiction.

Bed Bugs – Fact & Fiction

1. Bed bugs are only found in run down and dirty structures.
FALSE. Bed bugs are non discriminating. They have been found in 5-star hotels, cruise ships, single-family homes and public housing alike. They will hitchhike equally on designer luggage or discarded mattresses.

2. Bed bugs are only a problem right now in more densely populated areas
like New York and New Jersey.
FALSE. Bed bugs have reached epidemic proportion throughout North America. While the New York area is one of the country’s bed bug hotspots, the pests have been reported in all 50 states as well as in Canada. Urban locations have higher reported occurrences, but are commonly found in more rural locations, as well.

3. Bed bugs feed on human blood in the middle of the night like vampires.
TRUE. Bed bugs are most active in the early morning hours when humans are normally in their deepest sleep. A blood meal usually lasts around 10-15 minutes.

4. Bed bugs are only found on mattresses and bedding.
FALSE. Bed bugs hide in cracks and crevices of a structure, inside wall cavities, on walls and ceilings, under carpeting, in other upholstered furniture, even in electric outlets and within electronics. Mattresses are closest to their meals, so they are often found there.

5. Pesticides are the most effective way to kill bed bugs.
FALSE. While pesticide applications play a role in overall integrated pest management, there are definite down sides, including having to often apply pesticides multiple times on the same structure and also discarding and replacing mattresses. In fact, bed bugs are already showing resistance to powerful professionally applied pesticides according to recent university research (Dr. Michael Potter, University of Kentucky).

6. Heat is proving to be the method of choice for killing bed bugs and their eggs.
TRUE. Laboratory testing has shown that bed bugs begin to die when temperatures reach as little at 113 degrees F. Field research has shown 100% effectiveness in killing bed bugs and their eggs when exposed to high temperatures. The predominant (and original) heat and filtration technology, ThermaPure (www.thermapure.com), has been applied to tens of thousands of structures throughout North America.

7. Encasing your mattress with a plastic cover will solve the bed bug problem.
FALSE. Mattress covers can help with bed bugs already found on the mattress, and only partial control thereafter. Encasements will not stop bed bugs from crawling onto your sheets and blankets from behind headboards. Since bed bugs hide in many parts of the structure, as well as on other pieces of furniture, encasements should only be viewed as one possible component in the fight against bed bugs.

8. Bed bugs can be a source of health-related problems.
TRUE While there is no current evidence to show that bed bugs can transmit disease, we do know that bed bug bite victims often report itchy, inflamed skin and on rare occasions victims have reported asthma attacks and other allergic reactions. According to a study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, bed bug bites should be considered a possible cause of iron-deficiency anemia in people who have signs of severe bedbug infestation.

9. Bed bugs are the most difficult pest to control.
TRUE. According to a recent survey from the National Pest Management Association 76% of pest control operators surveyed say bed bugs are the toughest — even more than cockroaches, termites and ants.

10. Heat treatments do more than just kill bed bugs.
TRUE. When properly applied by trained technicians, ThermaPureHeat® pasteurizes a structure, killing bacteria, viruses, some types of mold and allergens, and even odors.

About ThermaPure®
ThermaPure®, Inc. is based in Ventura, CA. The company’s ThermaPureHeat® technology utilizes structural pasteurization to sanitize structures. The ThermaPureHeat® process can also kill mold, bacteria, viruses and insects, including bed bugs, termites and their eggs.

The ThermaPureHeat process is currently licensed to more than 40 quality companies in North America.

(1888PressRelease) UniversityLoveConnection.com Tops Match.com & Eharmony & Online Booty Call Websites With Its University Of Love Concept Of College Dating At Each College.

UniversityLoveConnection.com just released its new slogan public for record via this press, in Las Vegas today.

UniversityLoveConnection.com Director of Social Marketing Hila S, just announced ULC’s new slogan will be ” University Of Love “.

This gives us a new sexy college appeal, for connecting college singles that want to find campus love and enjoy dating via their own campus, unlike match.com, which offers distance dating.

College students stated to us, that Match.com ( Former Love @ AOL ) is not college friendly, where singles meet within 20-80 miles away, which is a incovienence to college singles on a budget” Daniel S, MBA student at UNLV stated.

“Eharmony, is not our competition, as they seek the singles 35-70+ years old stated Michael Rotkin Founder of UniversityLoveConnection.com, the popular hip college dating website.

We even look at other competitors such as Facebook.com and see our model is perfect and we wiill not change it for college dating, such as Facebook.com did.

UniversityLoveConnection.com was remodeled with similar technology and usability roughly, as Myspace which ( NWSA ) owns and Facebook offers to their users”, stated Nesh B, ULC’s Director of Coding & Software.

These fast dating and speed dating sites are not for college students and can be unsafe. “We do not have a ” Booty Call ” type website, as we offer a safe dating environment, endorsing singles to meet on campus” stated Michael Rotkin

See our new slogan and look at http://www.universityloveconnection.com

To see our Volptuous college dating and dating website go to http://www.fatsinglesdating.universityloveconnection.com

If you are tall or a college athlete looking for tall men or women on campus, see oour tall dating website http://www.tallsinglesdating.universityloveconnection.com and enjoy.

The Web Keeps Senior Brains Active

Some estimates put the percentage of seniors who go online at about 70%. As with many other age groups, the percent of web users has gone up dramatically in the last decade. While many of these older people just login to check email, others are engaged in a lot of online activity like social networking, blogging, and using online financial tools.

Far from wasting time, a UCLA study demonstrated that the internet engages brain centers that are used for complex decision making. The study encourages internet use as a way to keep brains active. You can learn more about internet brain activity here.

What Can Seniors Do Online?

Seniors can do many of the same things that everybody else does. Some popular activities, beyond email, are social networking, blogging, online auctions, and online banking. Beyond that, some older people enjoy forums on topics they are interested in.

Of course, online games are popular with older people, just like they are with younger people. And even though this may seem like a time waster, it can be brain exercise, and it can also be relaxing and fun.

Does it Cost to Much For Seniors on Fixed Incomes

It isn’t all that expensive to go online either. The price of PCs has been dropping, and you can still find some cheaper internet connections, like DSL, that will still be fast and stable enough to provide a satisfying experience. It isn’t hard for a senior to start brain exercises online. And unlike many other forms of exercise, this won’t even feel like work!

Many libraries and senior centers are installing computers with free internet connections too. I am sure this trend will continue as older people get online in larger numbers.

I recently ventured into the world of domain name searching. This was a little daunting because you will be carrying that name with you, and it is a business decision for something you want to promote in the most positive and consumer attracting way possible. Ok, in trying to find out a good URL/Domain name to purchase, I first chose some general keywords that fit with what I wanted to do (that went along with my niche), like bargain, genx, etc. Then I wanted to look up search trends for those general keywords, so I did some research and found some good websites:

(you will want to look up your niche first to see if ANYONE is searching for what you want to sell)

This is a really interesting site, forecasting keyword searches and trends, gender and age through MSN:

http://adlab.msn.com/ForecastV2/KeywordTrendsWeb.aspx

So although there are a few restrictions, this is very interesting! I actually looked up the keyword “beauty” and found that at least through MSN, most consumers typing that word in were men above the age of 50! That helps me to better understand my audience (again, at least in MSN) and how to market verbally to them.

I can then break down the keyword search further, and can go to Wordtracker and take the free trial…it’s a good one for searching, especially with Google search results. That way I’ll be able to use the specific keywords to utilize for any type of marketing purposes (email, organic or paid search, etc) to build out the content and what verbiage you use on your site.

After that, I started my search for domain names, which is another whole bag of worms, to be talked about in another article!

This is the one-two punch for those that need to get stuff done NOW!
