Do I Have to Upgrade My Telephone Service?
There’s an old expression that says, “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”.
Just because an expression is old and many people use it, doesn’t make it correct.
Even though a program or machine or an concept is operating properly does not mean it is working at the most efficient degree.
Lets take a fast look at your telecom system. If you have a number of systems in place for calls, web, data transfer and conferencing services then you are running at a high level of inefficiency.
It’s true that there will probably be implementation expenses to have an unified program in place but the long term saving will far out weigh the initial expenses.
And you will find more savings then merely dollars and cents. The saving in time and increased productivity are equally as important.
So don’t waste another moment and evaluate your telecom system to help maximize saving in dollars and time.
Should You Scrap Your Telecom System?
For small to medium sized businesses the savings that can be had from a less expensive telecom system are substantial.
It certainly is nothing new, but a VOIP service can generate savings that might be substantial to the bottom line.
If you do any international calling you might be able to reduce the cost of the call to zero dollars. That is correct. You could zero out the entire cost of your international calling.
But that is not the only place that savings can come into play. For instance, did you know that you are able to have free video conferencing from several VOIP providers. So instead of having a sales force waste time driving to a meeting you may have video conferencing and save countless hours of lost productivity.
Or imagine if a sales person could do a video conference with a client. Instead of calling on them in person they could double or triple there sales service calls.
How Can Your Organization Save Money
Any company worth its salt works on increasing income and lowering expenditures. In many situations this is easier said then done.
Many businesses may believe they know exactly where their expenditures are but they might be blind to a number of expenditures that could be trimmed fairly simply.
1 area to look at is the expenses generated by a salesforce that makes road trips to visit clients on a regular bases. Another may be the expense of bringing staff together for meetings and brain storming sessions.
One easy way to cut these expenses is with video conferencing.
Not only is it extremely easy to get staff together but you’ll find that clients are a lot more receptive to video conferencing then you might at initially believe.
Everybody likes the amount of time saved and the convenience of video conferencing. Talk to your customers and see what they say. I know you’ll be surprised.
Another area of cost saving is rooting out overcharges.
Everyday we hear about some poor soul being robbed of their life savings by some scammer. These take several forms but the most likely is some form of telephone call fraud.
These individuals are most likely to be called by a boiler room telemarketer and pressured into buying something or investing in some thing that has absolutly no value.
Don’t we feel sorry for them when the news report lets us know what has happened.
But individuals are not the only ones open to being scammed. Busineses are just as vulnerable. But when it occurs to a company it is known as a clerical error or some such nonsense.
Did you know that a large number of long distance phone bills are off by a lot of money. Actually you will find companies that have as their only service the ability to audit phone bills to discover these mistakes.
So do not be surprised should you use one of these services and find out you’re entitled to a big refund.
