5 Simple Home Business Ideas you Should Have Thought Of!
Would You Like to Work From Home?
Lots of people think that working from home would be ideal, even if they could just a part time business to supplement other family income. But most of those people never get started. Why? From talking to some of them, and my own experience, I think the thought is just to daunting. People believe that they need some high tech skill or expensive equipment to get started.
Being self employed myself, at this point in my life, I am always interested to see other people’s good home business ideas. This article on Simple Home Business Ideas was refreshing because it pointed out some ways to work at home that people just have not thought of. Since we self employed people tend to get our own brains sparked from other people’s ideas, I thought I would add to the list with five more ideas!
Garage Sale Arbitrage – Arbitrage is the simple act of buying low and selling high. I have known more than one person who would seek out local garage sales, estate sales, etc. for items that were underpriced and could be sold at a profit. Sometimes they would store theese goodies up in their own garage and hold their own huge and well publicized garage sale. They would take some particularly good items and market them individually on EBay, Craigslist, or in the paper. You may think it is impossible to profit like this, but I have seen many people do this for years.
Neighborhood Flyers – All you need is a pc and and a compy machine. You can find lots of local business people, like insurance agents, cleaners, and dentists, who find that simple flyers are an effective way to promote their services. Approach them with an offer to distribute a specific amount of flyers with their advertisement. They may want to add a coupon or special offer. You can even add multiple business listings to one flyer to make it more profitable for you. Does this work? You bet it does! You can distribute the flyers door to door, put them in mail boxes, or on parked car in a local shopping center.
Tutors – School seems to be getting more competitive at a younger age. Many working parents would appreciate somebody who can help kids with homework, enforce specific skills, or teach new ones. If you were good at math, know how to play an instrument, or just like kids, you can offer your services. In addition, home schooling has become more popular today. There is a demand for group excercise or music classes during the day time to meet those needs for kids who learn at home.
House Cleaning – It may not sound glamourous, but if you can charge $100 for a few hours of your time to tidy up somebody else’s home, why not do it? You can find lots of families where both parents work, and who would be happy to hire somebody they could trust to slip in and make everything nice when they get home.
Ride Service – Great grandma may need to see the doctor, or a child may need to be transported to music lessons when the family drivers are at work. You may need to make sure your personal auto isurance covers this work before you start doing it though. But otherwise it is a simple task that you can get paid for, and you will really be helping out another family by doing it.
After reading this article, and the home worker forum, you should be able to come up with even more ideas. Perhaps there is even a market for people who think of home business ideas!
