Dealing with airline security. What to do to get through it without glitches

If you are a frequent traveler, you know the funness of going through security.  After doing it so many times, you end up in a routine.  Here is my own personal routine for traveling and getting through security without a further search:

Wear no jewelry if you don’t have to.  That way when going through security you don’t have to take it off.

Have all your toiletries in a bag, nothing over 2 ounces to avoid things being thrown away.

You can bring food, but no drink.

Have your ticket with you, not your identification card

Need ticket and license/passport/govt registered identification

Shoes, jacket, belt, accessories and anything metal needs to be removed from your person before you pass through security.

You also need to remove your laptop if you have one in a bag.

Only one lighter per person is allowed (unless there is a security alert)

No items that are liquid or liquid type are allowed unless you have it separately sealed in a clear ziplock bag or clear regulatory sized bag. (this means lipstick and toothpaste on top of any other liquids).

No Knives of any sort!  But I believe they’re now allowing clippers.

Put laptop In it’s own bin.

Put toiletries in it’s own bin.

Prepare before you get in line so you won’t upset others and you will also not get so disarrayed.

These tips have definitely helped me with getting through security faster!
