Exactly How We Killed the Fleas Once and For All

About a year ago, we were asked if we would foster some puppies and kittens for a local no-kill animal shelter. My family and I talked it over and made the decision that it could be a good idea. We’d all enjoy a brand new puppy to play with. Nevertheless, with two dogs, 2 cats, guinea pigs, and tropical fish, we definitely did not require an additional permanent resident.

Fostering the animals was excellent. It offered our family a chance to let the foster dog become a lot better socialized around people in addition to young kids. Our canines liked having fun with them as well. The children loved getting a new buddy that can be played with for a number of weeks while he waited to become fixed. Once the dog was neutered or spayed, it would be eligible to get adopted and discover his permanent home.

Little did we know these wonderful foster animals might from time to time show up with the fleas from hell. As opposed to typical fleas, which had been stopped by our pet’s flea remedies, these fleas were immune. It seems like they grew up in an environment where a whole lot of the cats and dogs have been on flea medicine and they were able to thrive anyway. Precisely what this meant, is the very same flea treatment that worked well for us for a year or so was no longer effective.

Following that we began having issues with flea allergies. Our dogs started out with simple scratching and then it developed to other health problems. These included ear infections as well as a dog hot spot. While some dogs can have numerous flea bites and it really will not bother them. Having said that with a dog with flea allergies, it only takes a couple of bites to make a real difference. Everyone realized we had to eliminate the fleas quickly otherwise our canine’s wellness would truly be in danger.

Later on after doing a great deal of study on the internet, we made a decision to give Advantix a test. After having tried two or three different manufacturers from our vet, we didn’t know what to prepare for. Unlike a few of the vet’s brands, that you have to buy through their office, Advantix is actually obtainable on the net.

I was astonished to find that Advantix killed the fleas. According to their web site Advantix prevents fleas from biting in less than five minutes and begins getting rid of them in an hour. Within just twelve hours most if not all of the mature fleas are gone. It also features a compound that may help repel fleas for a full month to help keep them off your canine and from biting in the first place.

Since we started using Advantix, our flea problems with our canines have reduced. Unfortunately, we can’t use Advantix on our kittens and cats. Advantix is extremely toxic to felines and should for no reason be applied on them.

K9 Advantix was the first flea treatments which we found to halt the extremely resilient fleas on our canines. Given that we have canines with flea allergy symptoms, it’s imperative that we get rid of the fleas and other insects as swiftly as possible and Advantix did that.

I was very happy to discover that there’s now a Advantix generic which is around one half the cost of the full version. This allows us to get the very same flea treatment that we believe in but for a lot less cash.
