WemonAde.com When Life Gives You…

I am a gen x-er.  Today, I am frustrated.  As certain humans experience racism, discrimination and ignorance, my generation has gone highly ignored, with attention being drawn to baby boomes and the Gen Y or millennium group.

Um, hello!  We are supposed to be stepping up and running a country right now.  We are aging into a period where so many baby boomers are going to age into retirement, (regardless of the economy and how slowly people are aging) we actually are going to face a job management deficit because of the difference in population size. 

C’mon people now, how is this generation not counting?  Where is the sound of our generation or is it so completely overrun by boomers and their grandchildren?

I really appreciate this article Time magazine wrote on Jeff Gordinier who wrote the book:  X Saves the World: How Generation X Got the Shaft But Can Still Keep Everything From Sucking .  No I have not yet read the book, but this is definitely things that the X’ers should pay attention to.

Anyway, I realize every generation has their own rant, and I feel that we just aren’t heard very much, and MAYBE it’s our own fault!
